| Hello My name is Roy E. Haney and I would like to introduce you to myself and to my website BLUE BUFFALO PUBLISHING. With the exception of a few years, I have lived in the San Francisco, California East Bay Area. I received a B.S. from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from Golden Gate University. My life experiences and education have given me the knowledge, perception and intuition to apply myself in life and it lead me to becoming a Human Resource management professional. I loved the work that I did in Human Resources and I was very successful at it. However, it never fully satisfied the need I had when transferring thoughts and ideas to paper; particularly when imparting a metaphorical sentence or idea resulting in a clearer communication of an idea or story. So fast forward…I decided to do what I had a passion for and wrote a novel titled, “YESTERDAY’S RAIN: LEGEND OF THE BLUE BUFFALO.” After finishing the manuscript for YESTERDAY’S RAIN I aggressively tried to find an agent to represent me and get the book published, but none of them wanted to represent an unknown author. The common responses that I received was that they were not accepting new authors or it was not in their genre. Frustrated I decided to self-publish YESTERDAY’S RAIN. I started my own publishing company based upon a character in my book, the Blue Buffalo, and BLUE BUFFALO PUBLISHING was born. My book has sold on several large on-line booksellers including Amazon, Kindle and Google and I see it offered at other internet sites, including overseas. I have received five-star reviews on Amazon and favorable comments that you can see on my Title and Author Page. I have also received favorable reviews in the Sacramento Book Review and the San Francisco Book Review. I am now fully retired from my professional life and intend to continue writing. My next project is the sequel to YESTERDAY’S RAIN that hopefully will be completed and published this year or early next year. I feel fortunate that I was able to create my own publishing company and publish my book. This has given me a considerable amount of experience to pass on and I would like to help other writers that we feel can make a literary contribution. My future emphasis at BLUE BUFFALO PUBLISHING will be to continue to write and publish my own work; however, I am also interested in helping, on a fee basis, a few selected dedicated writers publish their work on the Blue Buffalo Publishing label. I will be very selective in choosing the work as it will be critically evaluated by us for content and contribution it could make to the literary community.
